California, We Have Lift Off!

Los Angeles Based company SpaceX successfully launched its very first astronaut carrying rocket to the ISS (International Space Station) from US Soil (Florida Kennedy Space Center) on Saturday May 30th, 2020:

THIS is what it looks like when you have a newborn baby and a historic victorious rocket launch carrying astronauts for the first time in the same month:

Who's Driving This Rocket?

Meet Two of a Kind:

Astronauts Doug Hurley and Robert Behnken

  • Both men are military test pilots, and engineers.

  • Both graduated from the same NASA Class of 2000.

  • Both married fellow astronauts!

  • Both have one son each.

  • Both have flown to space twice already on previous missions.
